Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 01.10 express steam locomotive #with an older boiler design and type 2´3 T38 coal tender. Steel-blue basic paint scheme with black smokebox and silver boiler bands, based on the F-Zug network of express trains. Version without streamlined fairing. With striking transverse surface feed-water heater on the smokebox.Dual headlights. Witte smoke deflectors and an inductive magnet on one side. Loco road number 01 1075. The loco looks as it did around 1950.
Model: The loco has an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has a controlled high-performance motor with a flywheel, mounted in the boiler. Three axles on the model are powered. Traction tires are fitted. The locomotive and tender are made mostly of metal. The model has a factory-fitted smoke generator with speed-dependent, dynamic smoke exhaust. Dual headlights change over with the direction of travel, work conventionally, and can be controlled digitally. The cab lights, firebox flickering, and running gear lights can be controlled separately in digital operation. Maintenance-free warm-white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. A buffer capacitor is fitted. There is a close coupling with a guide mechanism between the loco and tender. The tender has a close coupling with a guide mechanism and an NEM pocket. The buffer heights on the loco and tender conform to NEM specifications. The minimum radius for operation is 360 mm / 14-3/16. Protective piston sleeves and brake hoses as well as figures of a locomotive engineer and a fireman are included. Length over the buffers 27.7 cm / 10-7/8.
